Subwing is also the name of the board which is an indispensable element of the activity.
The oblong object held by the diver is attached to a 4,5m long rope. This is the range at which the diver can move underwater. If he wants to dive further down, he needs to push the front of the board down, if he wants to swim towards the surface, he needs to pull it up. The side-to-side control is even simpler, as it is enough to just tilt the board to one side. However, most interesting is the ability to do underwater corkscrews, thanks to the two parts of the device being independently attached.
Subwing board is made out of fiberglass or carbon fiber. The former model costs $700 dolarów, the latter, $850, unless you choose a glossy variant which is more expensive.
